Marie Ducey, MS, APC
Marie is an Associate Professional Counselor who earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University.
She is dedicated to helping clients heal from eating disorders, improve their relationship with their bodies, and move away from the pressures of diet culture through a Health at Every Size–informed approach. Marie also enjoys supporting individuals experiencing anxiety and depression, with a particular interest in working with adolescents and young adults.
Marie strives to build a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered. While compassion serves as the foundation of her work, she also recognizes the value of thoughtfully challenging clients when it can support growth and meaningful change.
Her therapeutic approach draws from several evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Person-Centered Therapy. By tailoring treatment to each individual's unique needs and goals, Marie helps clients develop practical skills, increase self-awareness, and create lasting positive change.
