Andrea is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker whose practice is centered on fostering resilience, emotional well-being, and sustainable mental health. Throughout her career, she has worked in inpatient, outpatient, community-based, and home-based treatment settings, supporting individuals navigating trauma, substance use concerns, and difficulties with emotional regulation through evidence-based behavioral approaches.
She earned her bachelor's degree from Tulane University, where she completed a triple major in Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology, along with a minor in Women’s Studies. Andrea later received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration, with specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and international social work.
Andrea is dedicated to creating a warm, affirming, and inclusive therapeutic space where clients from all backgrounds feel seen, respected, and supported. She brings authenticity, compassion, and humor into her work, and believes that meaningful change is often built within a strong, collaborative therapeutic relationship.
Before entering the field of psychotherapy, Andrea worked in the legal and social justice sectors. These experiences continue to inform her systems-oriented perspective and deepen her understanding of advocacy as well as the complex challenges individuals face in their lives.
Her clinical areas of focus include mental health concerns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), substance use and addiction, trauma recovery, and diversity-related issues, including LGBTQ+ concerns, cultural identity, and other aspects of identity and lived experience.
