Jane Levings MS LAPC

Jane Levings, MS, LAPC

Jane holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from Mercer University. She works with adolescents and adults across the lifespan, with clinical focus in personal development, life transitions, addiction, mood disorders, and parenting-related concerns.

Jane’s work centers on helping clients clarify their core values and identity, then make intentional changes that support a more aligned and meaningful life. She supports both teens and adults in understanding difficult emotions, reducing reliance on unhelpful coping behaviors, and building healthier habits and relationships that promote long-term well-being. Whether navigating adolescence and growing independence or entering a new chapter in adulthood, Jane’s goal is to help clients live with greater purpose, stability, and fulfillment.

She draws primarily from an existential therapeutic framework to help clients explore meaning and direction in their lives, while integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support practical skill-building and behavior change. Jane also incorporates creative and expressive modalities, including writing and visual arts, based on client interest and preference.

Prior to joining Deepen, Jane completed her internship at the Summit Wellness Center, an intensive outpatient substance use treatment program. There, she provided individual therapy and co-facilitated groups focused on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Creativity and Coping, and Healthy Relationships. Her clinical interests in addiction have expanded to include concerns such as social media and gaming overuse, as well as challenges related to executive functioning, focus, and distraction management.

Jane also has a strong background in the arts as a therapeutic tool. She has volunteered in horticultural therapy at Skyland Trail, taught creative writing at the collegiate level, and is a trained portrait painter. She values expressive arts as a way for clients to access insight and emotional understanding that may not emerge through talk therapy alone.

She is a graduate of Pace Academy, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and the University of Virginia, where she earned an MFA in Creative Writing, in addition to her counseling degree from Mercer University. Jane also works as an associate independent educational consultant, supporting adolescents and families in finding appropriate school placements. As a parent of two teenagers in Atlanta, she brings personal insight into the challenges and transitions of adolescence and family life, and is passionate about walking alongside teens and parents as they move toward greater independence.
