Gaby deparis-hale, ms, lpc, ncc

Gaby is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has vast experience working with individuals, couples, and families navigating eating disorders, body image concerns, depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, interpersonal challenges, and the unique transitions and stressors that often arise in midlife. She is passionate about helping clients understand the patterns that keep them stuck and supporting them in creating meaningful, sustainable change.

Gaby earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Theatre from Providence College, a background that informs her appreciation for both the science of behavior and the complexity of the human experience.

Gaby’s clinical experience spans multiple levels of care. She completed her clinical internship at The Renfrew Center of Georgia and has since progressed within the organization to her current role as Team Lead. In her leadership role, she provides clinical oversight, supports staff training and development, coordinates patient care, and contributes to program development and quality improvement initiatives. She works closely within multidisciplinary teams and has extensive experience treating complex and co-occurring presentations, particularly at the intersection of eating disorders, mood disorders, substance use, and relational dynamics.

In her therapeutic work, Gaby integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, and exposure-based interventions. She tailors treatment to each client’s needs, balancing practical skill-building with insight-oriented work to help clients move toward lives that feel more aligned, connected, and values-driven.

Gaby’s approach is best described as compassionate, empathic, direct, and dedicated—with humor thoughtfully woven into the work. She believes therapy should feel both supportive and honest, creating space for clients to feel deeply understood while also being gently challenged to grow. Gaby is committed to fostering a collaborative, affirming environment where clients feel empowered to show up authentically and engage fully in the change process.
